Our “Green” Page

As with any business, environmental concern should be taken into account every step of the way.  At Chicago Cat Sitters, we want to be able to provide a service while still respecting the environment and promoting better conditions for planet, Earth.

We pride ourselves on being an active member of the Proactive Pet Sitters Association for the Planet and its Animals and agree to follow their guidelines for maintaining a planet-conscious pet care business. 

Our Environmental Safe Routine

1. •We reduce waste, pollutants and toxins, by conserving natural resources, and by reusing materials where ever possible.
   

2. •We recycle used cans of cat food and promote the use of eco-friendly cat litters, like wheat and other renewable source types.
   

3. •We use biodegradable waste bags that meet ASTM D6400 specifications.
   

4. •We print on environmentally friendly papers like 100% recycled stocks and try to utilize e-mail over paper where ever possible.
   

5. •We support animal welfare organizations and raise as much awareness as possible.
   

6. •We promote adoption and practice spay and neuter practices to reduce overpopulation.
